Downsview Park is north of Highway 401 between Keele Street and Allen Road. Sheppard Avenue West loops out around the northern side of the park, and that's the road you use to enter the park.

Driving
John Drury Drive crosses Sheppard Avenue West one light east of Keele. Turn east on John Drury to enter the grounds then left onto Carl Hall Road. You'll see the giant Christmas tree outside the Holiday Village - that's also where the parking lot is.

By Transit
Although the 101 Downsview Park bus usually doesn't run in the winter, it is available during the Trail of Lights. The other option is the 84 Sheppard West which will let you off near John Drury Lane, but then you do have to walk into the park and turn onto Carl Hall Road to get to the event. Both buses leave from the Downsview Subway Station.

For some Torontonians a trip to Downsview Park may feel like a long trek, but the slight remoteness is actually part of the appeal of the Trail of Lights. While you can see the lights of the city twinkling around you on all sides and even sometimes gaze past the displays to a city street or apartment buildings nearby, the openness of the park and the trail make it really feel like you've gone to visit somewhere special for the holidays.
