Woofstock - The Outdoor Summer FestivalSummer 2003 saw the first Woofstock come to Toronto's Distillery District and although the location has since changed, the tradition has continued every summer since. The warm-weather installment of the event generally takes place every June in Toronto. Admission to summer Woofstock is free, and anyone is welcome to browse the booths and check out the activities.
Woofstock takes place in the St. Lawrence Market neighbourhood of Toronto. The streets around Berczy Park are closed to traffic, and the Woofstock stage is set up within the park. That's where dogs strut their stuff in the Ms & Mr Canine Canada Pageant and other Woofstock contests. The road closures also extend along Front Street and onto other area streets, where vendor and information booths are set up, along with activity stations such as agility courses.

Winter WoofstockWinter Woofstock was a later addition to the Woofstock Festival lineup. Taking place each November in Toronto, Winter Woofstock is an indoor event which is held in the Direct Energy Centre at Exhibition Place.
Winter Woofstock offers the same kinds of events and activities as the summer version, with contests for the dogs and exhibitors for the people. Unlike the summer version, Winter Woofstock is a ticketed event. Admission for kids and dogs is free, and adults can save by buying tickets in advance through the website.

The Woofstock High Teas & Hotel DealsWoofstock works with Le Méridien King Edward to offer special rates for out-of-town tourists and their dogs. This King Street hotel is also the location for the Woofstock High Teas, themed events which see dogs compete in a costume contest. There are limited spaces available at the Woofstock High Teas, and each event will take place in the weeks preceding that season's Woofstock, so check the appropriate website well in advance if you'd like to attend.
Yes, You Can Bring Your Dog! (If They Want to Come)One of the unique things about Woofstock is that dogs are invited to attend and many do. Of course, not all dogs will enjoy the festivities, so be sure to consider what kind of environment your pooch is comfortable with before bringing them along.
