The Kipling-Queensway Mall

The entrances are easy to spot on the south east side of the Queensway

Despite its name, The Kipling-Queensway Mall is more of a cross between a small mall and a shopping center. A main building holds a department store and a grocery store, with just a few small stores and services lining the hallways between the two. There are more stores that can only be accessed from outside however, and smaller buildings which share the parking lot round out the shopping and dining options available.

While the Kipling-Queensway Mall is hardly a destination for anyone outside the area, for South Etobicoke locals it's a conveniently located cluster of stores that will help meet everyday needs.

Shopping at Kipling-Queensway Mall:

The mall is anchored by a Winners, a Sobey's and a Zellers that has a pharmacy. Inside the mall there's The Source for your electronic needs, a Shoe Club and a handful of smaller stores and services, such as a dollar store, a jewelery and watch shop, a dentist's office, a salon and a photography store.

Kipling-Queensway's real claim to fame however is found in one of the separate buildings, behind the Mandarin restaurant. That would be the Casket Store, where the public is welcome to shop for their funeral-related needs.

Eating at Kipling-Queenway Mall:

There's no food court inside the mall itself, although there is a small but comfortable restaurant attached to the Zellers. In separate buildings around the parking lot you'll find a Swiss Chalet, a Mr. Greek and The Mandarin Chinese buffet.

Banking and Government Services at Kipling-Queensway Mall:

Again, there's no bank inside the mall itself, but the Mr. Greek shares its building with an RBC.

Inside the mall, the Ontario Ministry of Transportation has a Driver and Vehicle License Issuing office.
• See this Government of Ontario webpage for current hours and services at this ServiceOntario location.

Location, Parking and Transit:

The mall is located right on the south east corner of Kipling and the Queensway in South Etobicoke. Access the parking lot from one of three entrances on the Queensway. If you're worried about trying to make a left on the Queensway to head west when you're leaving, drive behind the Mandarin and exit the parking lot on the small Zorra Street, which has lights where it connects to the Queensway.

For transit users, the 44 Kipling South bus stops at the corner, as does the 80 Queensway. You can also take the 110 Islington bus to the corner of Islington and the Queensway and walk a few minutes west to the mall.

What's Nearby:

If you're looking for something to do after shopping, the Queensway Cinema is a short walk or a very short drive east, on the corner of Islington and the Queensway.

If you don't find what you're looking for shopping-wise the much, much larger Sherway Gardens is a few minutes drive west on the Queensway, just past Highway 427.
