Things to do on Mondays in Toronto

By , About.com Guide

Maybe it's your first day back at work or school, maybe it's your first day off after working all weekend, or maybe Mondays mean nothing special to you at all. No matter what your relationship with this most maligned of days, there's plenty of interesting things going on on Mondays in Toronto.

Comedy:

The ALTdot COMedy Lounge starts at 9pm at The Rivoli (334 Queen Street West). Every week a different slate of stand-up comics takes to the stage for this $5 show. Sure, some weeks are better than others but it's always a good time with a great vibe. Check the website to see which comedians are in the coming lineup.

Open Stages:

Lectures:

Trampoline Hall's short amateur lectures on private obsessions only happen one Monday a month, but when they do Sneaky Dee's at the corner of College and Bathurst is the place to be. Starting the Thursday before each installment you can get tickets for $6 at Soundscapes, or you can try your luck at getting the limited $5 rush seats available at the door at 6:30pm. Doors open at 7:30pm for the 8pm sharp start.
