March Break Day Camps
Unless otherwise stated, these are week-long programs running everyday from March 16th to March 20th. Pre-registration is required and you should try to book early, as many programs fill up quickly.From City of Toronto Parks & Rec
The city runs March Break programs for a wide variety of interests and ages at schools and rec centres across the city. Depending on the location, activities could include arts, crafts, games, sports and the performing arts, or more specialized activities like cooking or skating.

At City of Toronto Historic Sites
The City of Toronto's Arts, Heritage & Culture division usually runs drop-in sessions, full- and half-day programs, and week-long camps at a number of Toronto's historic sites.

At the YMCA
March Break camps are available at the Brampton, Durham, Markham, Metro Central, Mississauga, and Scarborough YMCAs. Some centers have programming for ages 4 to 12 and others cover ages 6 to 12. Fees varied as some camps could only be booked as a full week and others are day-to-day.

Toronto March Break Camps - Performing and Visual Arts
The Art Gallery of Ontario's March Break Art Camp
The new design of The Art Gallery of Ontario has a new March Break program to match. Designed for ages 6-13, campers will explore the gallery to inspire their own works, with guidance from experienced artist-instructors. The 9am-4pm camp is $335 for the general public or $270 for AGO members, with extended care available for an additional fee.
At Harbourfront Centre Camps
These full-day programs cover a wide variety of interests for ages 4 to 16. Topics in 2009 include chess, circus arts, creative arts, theatre, junior authors, digital photography, fashion design and traditional camp activities. Fees range from $210 to $250.
At The Second City Training Center
If you've never been involved in improv comedy, know that it's fast, fun, and works best when you're wearing comfortable clothes. This camp is for ages 10-17 and runs from 9am to 4pm each day. It costs $380 plus tax, and you'll need to bring a lunch. (Click "course descriptions" for March Break details).
At the Lorraine Kimsa Theatre for Young People
March Break Day Camps will run March 16-20 in two sessions, a half-day program for students in Junior Kindergarten up to Grade 2, and a full-day program for kids in Grades 3-6.
At Sew Be It Studio
Billed as "camp for young fashionistas", this full-day camp lets students make their own unique clothing and accessories. Two locations, and two different weeks to choose from (March 23-27 as well).
At Art Works Art School
Found in Bloor West Village, the Art Works Arts School has morning, afternoon, or full-day programs available for ages 4-11 during March Break. Half day programs are $198, full day programs (not available for 4 and 5 year olds) are $372.
At Avenue Road Arts School
Safari Arts camps are available for students in Junior Kindergarten through Grade 9. March 16-20 and March 23-27.
Toronto March Break Camps - Science, History and Nature
At the Royal Ontario Museum - ROMkids
Full-day and half-day programs are available for ages 5-14. Kids can attend only a half-day or sign up for two programs to create a full day camp - those attending for the full day will have a supervised lunch break. Programs for 2009 are:
- Ages 5-6: Dino-Mite! (morning) and Animal Art (afternoon)
- Ages 7-9: School of Rocks (morning) and Museum Mysteries (afternoon)
- Ages 10-12: History Buffs (morning) and Eco Adventure(afternoon)
- Ages 11-14: Dungeons & Dragons (full day)
Programs are $140, except for D&D which is $280 ($125/$250 for Members). Extended care is available until 6pm for $45.
At the Toronto Botanical Garden
The TBG does their March Break camp a little differently. There is a different one-day program every day of the week that you can register for individually, but of course there's a discount if you register for all five ($65 each, $300 for all). All programs are for ages 6 to 10.

At the Humber Arboretum
For ages 5-12, the March Break Nature Day Camp will include nature walks, bird watching, maple syrup harvesting and orienteering, plus arts and crafts. It's $180 for the week with before and after care available for an additional fee.
Toronto March Break Camps - Sports
At the University of Toronto (Camp U of T)
The Camp U of T program is run through the University of Toronto's Faculty of Physical Education and Health. For ages 4-18, programs in gymnastics, hockey, beach volleyball, and soccer are offered. Prices range from $265 to $325.
At the Discovery School of Sport and Art
Located in North York, the Discovery School of Sport and Art offers a program of gymnastics, trampoline, tumbling, dance, athletic games and arts and crafts. There's a full day camp for ages 6-14 and half-day camps for ages 3-14 with the option to register for the whole week or individual days.
At Canlan Ice Sports Centres
Canlan Ice Sports runs March Break Hockey Camps at each of their Toronto locations. Click on the "Facilities" link to find information on the March Break program at the Canlan Ice Sport Centre nearest you.
