Every year students from both the Toronto District School Board and the Toronto Catholic District School Board get a week-long break in the middle of winter. A few years ago the schools started officially referring to this by the rather bland and obvious title of "Mid-Winter Break", but most people still call it by the old name, March Break. Tons of family-friendly events and activities take place in Toronto during March Break, including week-long day camps for both kids and teens.
When is March Break?
In 2009, March Break runs from Monday March 16th to Friday March 20th.

Double-Up Days at Toronto Ski & Snowboard Centres
From March 16th to 20th when you buy a one, two, or four hour pass at either the Centennial Park Ski & Snowboard Centre or the Earl Bales Ski & Snowboard Centre, you'll get twice the time you paid for on your Snow Pass. Take note though, due to the Snow School program that takes place during March Break, equipment rentals will only be available after 2pm at Centennial Park and after 3pm at Earl Bales Park. From March 16th to 20th both of Toronto's Ski & Snowboard Centres will be open from 9am to 9pm.
