Pasta and peanut butter are among the needed items, as are pasta sauce, rice, canned fish and fresh or canned fruit and vegetables

Beginning at 6am Wednesday morning, CityTV is having a special event in support of the current spring food drive for the Daily Bread Food Bank. Starting with Breakfast Television's Kevin Frankish and Frank Ferragine reporting live from the scene, CityTV personalities will be on hand all day at the Real Canadian Superstore at Don Mills and Eglinton (825 Don Mills Rd). They'll not only be collecting donations, but also handing out prizes to some lucky folks who come by to contribute.

The spring drive has been on since March 1st and is aiming to collect 500,000 pounds by April 11th. If you can't make it out to the store to donate, you can also make a cash donation on the Daily Bread Food Bank website.
