- With Valentine's Day on Thursday, there are many Valentine's Day themed events on this weekend, including the Erotic Arts and Crafts Fair, a sweets and chocolate tour, a candy-making workshop and more.
- With celebrations for the Year of the Snake beginning on Sunday, there are several Chinese New Year events in Toronto on this weekend, including the CIBC LunarFest at Harbourfront Centre.
- Black History Month events also continue at various locations around the city.
- This Friday is Tokens 4 Change, an annual fundraiser supporting the Etobicoke shelter for homeless youth, Youth Without Shelter. Students will be out in many TTC stations performing and collecting tokens and change to help their peers, so watch for them during your morning commute!
- The Toronto Sportsmen Show is on from Thursday to Sunday at the Direct Energy Centre, Exhibition Place.
- The Canadian Motorsports Expo is on at the International Centre in Mississauga from Friday to Sunday.
- The Harlem Globetrotters are at the Rogers Centre on Saturday and Sunday.
- BHARATI, on at the Sony Centre on Saturday and Sunday, is billed as a "spectacular live presentation of the dance, music, fashion, and folk traditions of India".
- The Book Lover's Ball in support of the Toronto Public Library is on Thursday night.
- This Saturday's DJ Skate Night at Harbourfront Centre will be a "Lunar Skate", tied into Chinese New Year celebrations.
- Beyond Black History Month events and Valentine's Day events, there are still other special events on the city's historic museums, including a "High Park History - Family Nature Walk" and "Solfeggio Music Series at Montgomery's Inn", both on Saturday.
- The Model Railroad Club of Toronto's public show continues on Saturday and Sunday.
- Sunday also brings the family-friendly band The Monkey Bunch to the Drake for the first of three weekends in a row.
