November 11 is Remembrance Day in Canada and there are numerous ceremonies taking place around Toronto where the public can gather to honour Canada's veterans and those who continue to serve.

This year Remembrance Day falls on a Sunday, so most 2012 Remembrance Day Ceremonies in Toronto are taking place on the day of. The first ceremony however is taking place on Sunday November 4 at the Scarborough Civic Centre at 2pm.

Veterans' Week

There are also Veterans's Week activities in Toronto on now or taking place before November 11. Veterans' Week always runs from November 5 to November 11, and in Toronto there are special concerts and talks to mark the occasion.

Have You Been Wearing a Poppy?

I always try to have my poppy by November first, and this year was no exception. Have you been wearing a poppy so far this month? And will you be attending any ceremonies or other events?
