Toronto International Film Festival Ticket Packages Available Monday

Monday July 13, 2009
The Toronto International Film Festival isn't until September, but as of 10am on Monday July 13th ticket packages will be on sale to the general public (VISA cardholders already have access). Of course the full schedule hasn't been announced yet, but if you're planning on seeing multiple films you can buy a package now and choose your films later. Dedicated festival goers often buy an early ticket package then eagerly await the release of the Advance Order Book. This book is released by TIFF on the same day as the Programme Book and the Official Film Schedule. The Advance Order Book then has to be filled out with your preferences for how to use your tickets and returned to be entered into the Advance Order Draw that will give you your chance at getting tickets to the most popular films. This year the Advance Order Book will be available August 25th and is due back at the new Nathan Phillips Square Box Office by 1pm on August 31st to be entered in the draw.

If that sounds a little too complicated or involved for you, another great option is to put your faith in the TIFF programmers (which hardly counts as a risky proposition) and take advantage of the packages where the films are selected for you. Love the bizarre edge of Midnight Madness screenings? Buy a package to see them all today and find out what the lineup is on July 21st. Have afternoons free? Plan to see whatever's on at the Elgin Screening Room on two or three days during the festival. There are many programmer-chosen packages to choose from - so many that even those who love the Advance Order Book system may want to browse the options!

Get the full scoop on ordering your Toronto International Film Festival tickets today by visiting the website http://tiff.net and using the Box Office link for details.
