Team Epic Taking Off

By , About.com GuideMarch 27, 2008

Follow me on:

Back in February I wrote about Team Epic, a Toronto-based online TV show that follows a new team of Canadian superheroes. Since then, the site has really grown with an active forum, an online store, and a making of video on the homepage has some neat shots of what it's like to use a green screen. There's even a Team Epic Facebook group you can join.

And of course, there's more Team Epic, too. For the third installment, "Friend and Foe", the website has switched to posting the episode in four weekly parts, rather than all at once. The first two parts are already up, with the next two following this Saturday and April 5th.

It doesn't look like there'll be nearly as much gratuitous use of Toronto landmarks in episode three, but apparently Hero Certified Burgers on Yonge and King is the happening place for heroes and their assistants to hang out (they're also a sponsor).

So if you like superhero stories and supporting local talent, don't let the Team Epic bandwagon get too much further without you on board.

Hey, stumbled onto this. What and great show! More people need to be watching this! I have way more fun with this corny show then half the stuff CBC has been throwing up.

I guess I am late to this because all episode 3 was up and the trailer for 4.

Stuff is definatly coming together!

I see there’s merchandise and a new contest on the go as well. They’re certainly doing a good job of keeping new material coming. It’s a nice change from spotty TV schedules filled with reruns.

You mentioned enjoying this “corny show” and I found myself wondering if they should even up the corny factor a bit and really just bask in the glow of being corny.

Anyways, I didn’t realize the Episode Four trailer was up, so I’ll have to go check that out.

Thanks for reading!
