Now it's Time for Canada's Best

Thursday January 24, 2008
The Oscar nominations were exciting and all, but even more exciting for followers of Canadian film is the Toronto International Film Festival Group's annual screening series, Canada's Top Ten. Between this Friday and February 5th, Cinematheque Ontario will host screenings of the best Canadian films of 2007 as chosen by a panel of ten film professionals and journalists.

There are actually twenty films in the series - the top ten feature films plus the top ten short films. Among those on the lists this year are Cronenberg's Eastern Promises and two films nominated for Best Animated Short Film Oscars, Madame Tutli-Putli and I Met the Walrus. Balancing out the screenings, there will also be three panel sessions on Music and Film, First Features, and the Producer as Auteur.

For the full list of films plus schedule and ticket details, visit the Canada's Top Ten website.
