Looking for something a little less holiday-ish to do this week? On Thursday December 13th the Revue Cinema will be skipping jolly and heading straight for silly by hosting a live performance of the 2006 Toronto Fringe hit Giant Killer Shark: The Musical. Certainly not based on any major motion pictures, in July GKS was selected as one of the Best of the Fest at the Winnipeg Fringe Festival.

This week's performance is to raise funds for The Revue Cinema's planned education programs. Tickets are $15 in advance (available at the Revue or at She Said Boom) and $18 at the door. Following the play is a screening of what the Revue website calls a "super secret shark film" which they claim is not THE shark film. Just a shark film.

The Revue is currently holding a food drive for the Daily Bread Food Bank, so on top of your donation for the education programs, bring a bit of the giving spirit with you in the form of non-perishable food items you can leave in the lobby.
